Evacuation Shelters

This layer shows the locations of the Evacuation Shelters, as they are designated and determined by the Emergency Management Dept.

Evacuation Zones

This layer shows the boundaries of the Evacuation Zones in Hernando County, as they are designated and determined by the Emergency Management Dept.

Hospitals

This layer identifies hospitals as they are located throughout the county.

Storm Surge

Displays the areas that are predicted to be affected by the possibility of a surge in gulf water levels in the event of a tropical storm or hurricane.

City Boundaries

This layer has been modified to accommodate the combination of data from two other city boundary layers maintained by the Planning Department. It has an additional field to note; Boundary Type. This layer accommodates two boundary types; By Parcel and Overall City Boundary. You will need to either use an already created layer file or a definition query to represent only the Overall City Boundaries.

Coast & Rivers

Identifies the locations of the county's water flows and boundaries.

Lakes

Shows locations of Lakes in Hernando County.

Landfill

Identifies Land Fill sites for debris management purposes.

Mile Markers

Mile Markers are points denoting the location from a starting point along a highway. This layer contains mile markers for both I75 and the Suncoast Parkway. This data was obtained from the Florida Department of Transportation.

Parks

Shows all public Parks in Hernando County.
