Mr. John C. Emerson is your Hernando County Property Appraiser. When he was our office’s Chief Deputy his vision was to have an exceptional GIS System that would serve as an integral part of the Property Appraiser’s Office and an enhancement of the Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) System. The second phase of that vision was to bring together all the GIS expertise throughout the County departments and form a Centralized GIS Team, which would reduce costs for the County and benefit the residents. Now, as your Hernando County Property Appraiser he is in charge of the entire Central GIS program and is proud of all the accomplishments and services provided by this outstanding group.
